Welcome to the Technical Support site for Softek TDMF, Open Systems
Edition where we will provide you with links to information to help
you maintain and support this product.
Softek TDMF, Open Systems Edition replicates data between compatible
servers in real time across any TCP/IP network. It intercepts data
blocks between the file system and volume manager (if one is present)
and maintains a consistent copy of the data at a remote location.
The unit of replication is a logical group, which is a set of logical
or physical volumes in which write order integrity is maintained.
This ensures that full data integrity is maintained for databases
at all times.
Sophisticated recovery procedures are employed to ensure that data
integrity and rapid re-synchronization takes place no matter what
network or hardware failure occurs. This multi-level recovery ensures
that the minimum amount of data is sent over the network to re-establish
the replication.
Flexible configuration options mean that TDMF Open Systems Edition
can be used for server consolidation (many to one), data broadcast
(one to many), and load balancing (symmetrical). TDMF can also be
used to create point in time copies of data that are co-ordinated
with application events."
Softek has announced a new Replication and Migration strategy.
