Passive monitoring tools, of course, use agents to "watch" end-users work and report the results. To be "pro-active", on the other hand, end-user monitoring tools like Softek EnView require some scripting to continuously gather data in a 24/7 way that agent based "watching" simply can not.
Softek EnView EasyScript is a new "wizard-like" user interface tool.
EasyScript uses a standardized process to automatically create robust scripts including timing and error handling. With EasyScipt, new scripts can be produced in a quick and efficient manner allowing the system administrators to concentrate on their regular assignments.
Current GA release: Softek EnView 4.3
Support Notice: On November 14, 2005, Softek announced the following regarding EnView:
- Version 3.3: No new patches will be released for v3.3. Support terminates on March 31, 2006.
- Version 4.1.1: No new patches will be released after the GA of v4.3. Support terminates on September 30, 2006.
