POSITION TITLE
QA Test Engineer

LOCATION
Sunnyvale, CA

We are seeking a QA Engineer to assist with test suite and infrastructure development.  This position will also assist in managing UNIX and Windows lab machines, and product qualification/testing for the development group.

As a QA engineer you will be accountable for driving the quality of the product, including creating and executing test cases, test procedures and bug reports.

Required Skills:

• 2 years of relevant quality assurance testing experience
• Experience in UNIX/Linux and Windows system administration
• Experience with C and Shell programming (ksh/csh) 
• Perl/TCL experience is a plus
• Gather test requirements, develop test plans, test reports and test summaries
• Design, implement, execute and maintain  automated test cases
• Work with development engineers to resolve issues found during QA testing
• Familiarity with QA and Development processes
• Ability to be able to setup and reproduce customer environments/issues
• Excellent problem solving ability with strong skills in troubleshooting, characterizing and describing defects.
• Self motivated with excellent communication  skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiar with STAF, other Test automation tools.
• Knowledge of PHP, python, Expect, TCL scripting languages
• Proficiency with debugging tools (Windows Kernel Debugger/Soft-Ice)
• SAN Experience, storage or SCSI Background
• Oracle or other Database experience is a plus

OTHER SKILLS:

• Ability to set aggressive schedules and deliver tasks on time.
• Ability to present ideas effectively to team and evaluate other ideas with an open mind
